At DRG COINS AND ANTIQUITIES, we have a passion for all things historical. This allows us to offer a superb selection of items. We are a family run business headed by the font of all knowledge (not all useless) Derek Glover.

Since a young boy, he has been fascinated with history, leading to him becoming a hobby detectorist. Many fields and years later, he amassed a selection of finds. These include Saxon artefacts donated to the Museum of London, a hoard of silver denarii donated to the Fitzwilliam Museum and a hoard of Roman sestertius, given to the Harlow Museum.

In 2003, he opened an eBay store Del550 which over the following decades amassed 35 000 positive feedback. During these years, he worked full time as a Sales Director in Cambridge, until eventually he managed to turn his hobby into a full-time endeavour.

This leads us to 2024, where Derek regularly buys and sells - be it at BNTA fairs across the country or on our Catawiki page.

Now our flagship items are for sale on our very own one stop shop for all things history.
